Yes. You must close any position in a company at least 24 hours before its scheduled earnings release, dividend ex-date, or corporate action. You may reopen no earlier than 24 hours after the event. Full details are in the Single Stock Addendum at velotrade.com/rules.

Single stock instruments may carry tighter holding rules than other instruments, including no weekend holds or required closure outside market hours. Check the published rules for the specific instrument. Where holding is permitted, a daily holding charge may apply.

No. You are trading the price movement of the stock in a simulated funded account. There is no share ownership, no settlement process, and no margin call from a prime broker.
