What commodity instruments are available on a funded account?
Available commodity instruments are XAU (Gold), XAG (Silver), CL (WTI Crude Oil), COPPER, NATGAS (Natural Gas), XPD (Palladium) and XPT (Platinum). Commodities are available at up to 6x leverage during the Challenge and 5x on Funded accounts. The exact figure for every instrument is available at velotrade.com/instruments.
Can I trade XAUUSD through CPI and FOMC releases?
Yes. There are no news trading restrictions. XAUUSD is one of the most sensitive instruments to macro data. You can hold or enter gold positions during CPI, FOMC, geopolitical events, or any other scheduled or unscheduled release.
Can I hold commodity positions over the weekend?
Yes. There is no forced close before the weekend. Gold and other commodities are multi-day instruments and the rules support multi-day positions. Hold XAUUSD through Friday's close with no restrictions.
Is there a consistency rule on commodity trades?
No. A single CPI print that moves gold $50 and accounts for your entire profit target still counts in full. There is no daily profit distribution evaluation and no cap on single-session or single-trade gains.
What is static drawdown and how does it apply to gold trading?
Static drawdown means your maximum loss floor is fixed at your starting account balance. In gold trading, where intraday moves can be sharp, this means volatility spikes will not tighten your safety net. Your floor stays fixed from day one regardless of account growth.
Can I trade gold alongside forex or crypto on the same account?
Yes. Your funded account covers all five asset classes. You can hold an XAU position alongside EURUSD and BTC, all under the same account and the same risk rules.
Which TradingView symbols should I use to compare commodity prices?
Search for the matching USDT perpetual symbol in TradingView’s Crypto section and select KuCoin, for example XAUTUSDT.P for gold (XAU) and CLUSDT.P for crude oil (CL). Velotrade trades commodities 24/7, so prices can differ slightly from standard market hours quotes.
